NRG is a leading global insights and strategy firm at the confluence of content, culture, and technology

We stay ahead of what’s next, providing fresh insights to spark new ideas. We’re a trusted partner to our clients, working behind the scenes to bring imagination, depth, and clarity to their biggest challenges — in entertainment, technology, lifestyle, sports, and gaming. Together, we create with confidence.

We’re proud of our company’s values – these values guide us as we navigate sunny days, gray skies and everything in between:

  • Do what you love. With conviction.
  • Where discovery lives. And impact drives.
  • Celebrate difference. Cultivate belonging.
  • Big thinking. Collectively inspired.
  • Embrace the journey. Be human.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Chief of Staff to work directly with our CEO. In this role, you will bring your intellectual curiosity and entrepreneurial mindset to drive key strategic initiatives, manage special projects and ensure operational excellence across the organization. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, a strong writer, and capable of managing workloads and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.

This is a critical role and requires someone who is capable of collaborating closely with NRG’s CEO and senior leadership team. This role will also require some onsite work at our office in Playa Vista based on the needs of our CEO. If you are passionate about entertainment and technology and want to learn the inner workings of a leading research consultancy, this is the opportunity for you!

Your Impact

  • Ideate, plan and track the progress of key strategic initiatives for the CEO and the organization
  • Communicate directly, and on behalf of the CEO, with senior leadership and team members throughout the organization, as well as with clients
  • Manage meetings for the CEO including, but not limited to, setting the agenda, providing insights and analysis to inform strategic conversations, and track follow-through to ensure accountability
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and have a strong understanding of the needs of the organization to help prioritize conflicting needs as necessary
  • Draft high-quality internally and externally facing communications for the CEO, including emails, reports and presentations
  • Write public-facing content such as LinkedIn posts, editorials, articles, and other media, providing unique insights that enhance the company's presence and thought leadership in the industry

Who We’re Looking For

  • Experience – We’d like you to have 2-3 years’ relevant experience supporting senior leaders in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. If you worked in market research or consulting, that’s even better!
  • Your degree(s) – You have a B.A./B.S. degree in Economics, Business or a related field with a strong academic record. Additional degrees are welcome!
  • Self-starter – Internally-motivated who continuously strives to get things done well, regardless of challenges encountered. You are proactive and always keep an eye on the next step.
  • Clear and Proactive Communicator – You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and can communicate clearly and succinctly. You’re comfortable asking questions and sharing your point of view with senior leaders.
  • Presentation Skills – You are proficient in creating compelling presentations using PowerPoint, Keynote and/or Google Slides. You can effectively convey complex information through visually appealing and professional presentations that engage and inform internal and external audiences.
  • Problem S olver – You are a natural problem solver. When something doesn’t go as planned, your first instinct is to look for a solution, rather than viewing it as a roadblock. You’re always on the lookout for new ways to accomplish tasks and have the ability to address issues using creative and collaborative tactics.
  • Expert multitasker – Successfully manages time and multiple competing priorities to ensure deadlines are always met. Staying organized is a must!
  • Great Team Member – You are a team player who works collaboratively and harmoniously within a team and across teams. You are comfortable forming connections with colleagues at any level in the organization. You will roll up your sleeves to help get the job done and no task is beneath you.
  • Passion – You have a genuine interest and enthusiasm for the entertainment, technology, sports and lifestyle industries. You stay updated on industry trends and are excited about contributing to our work in these areas.
  • Discretion and Confidentiality – You have a proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and integrity, ensuring privacy and maintaining trust at all times.
