About the role:
The Chief of Staff will be a key member of our leadership team, working closely with the CEO to help drive the overall strategy and operations of the organization. This is a highly visible and impactful role that requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen ability to think strategically and execute effectively.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a strategic leadership role, with a background in Management Consulting, Investment Banking, startups, and/or Venture Capital. In this role, the Chief of Staff will have gained a deep understanding of how to approach and solve complex business problems, and will have developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities
- Supporting the CEO in setting and executing on the overall vision and strategy of the organization
- Managing and coordinating cross-functional projects and initiatives, ensuring that they are aligned with the overall goals of the company
- Acting as a central point of contact for the CEO and the leadership team, and managing communications and updates on key projects and priorities
- Analyzing and synthesizing data and information from various sources to inform decision-making at the highest level
- Working closely with the CEO to identify and prioritize opportunities for growth and innovation, and developing and implementing plans to capture those opportunities
- Leading and managing teams of professionals, including direct reports, to drive results and achieve key objectives
- Mentoring and developing team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Managing our outsourced accounting firm, chart of accounts, procurement-to-pay process, expense management, and external and external & intercompany invoicing and receipts.
- Cap table management for all of Share’s foundry portfolio companies and external investments, including the ESOP, issuing of options (and Board approvals), 409a & FMV approvals, employee education, and work with our fund administration partner.
- Managing insurance for Share Fund, Share Foundry, and each of our Foundry portfolio companies.
- Set up all invoicing and payment procedures for companies in an automated and auditable way
- Assist with special projects for our companies and funds, including establishing metrics, building financial models, reviewing partnership agreements, and more.
- Own People Operations, including hiring & job descriptions, compensation benchmarking and levels, recruiting process & metrics, employee handbook, payroll & benefits (through our PEO), and all employee transitions for Share employees and Foundry portfolio companies
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a strategic leadership role, ideally in a venture capital, private equity, or startup environment
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform decision-making
- Strong financial and operational experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization
- A proactive and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
- A track record of driving results and achieving key objectives through the leadership and management of teams
- A desire to continuously learn and grow, and to contribute to the development of a positive, collaborative culture within the organization.
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. business, economics, engineering, computer science)
