ABOUT US:

At Brisk Teaching, we aim to lighten the workload for teachers with AI-powered tools that take care of administrative tasks so that teachers can spend more time doing what they love - teaching. Brisk is an AI-powered Chrome extension that simplifies teaching by integrating seamlessly with tools teachers already use like Google Classroom, Docs, Slides, YouTube, and articles. In seconds, teachers can create instructional materials, provide feedback, and evaluate student work - right from where they're already working.

We are a diverse group of technologists, educators, and parents, all united by a passion to improve the lives of educators. With over a decade of collective teaching experience and roles at leading education technology companies like the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, Seesaw Learning, PBS Kids, NoRedInk, Panorama Education, GoGuardian, and Edulastic, we deeply understand what educators need.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

As Chief of Staff to the CEO, you will be the force multiplier for the CEO, initially focused on public speaking engagements, partnerships with consulting and advocacy firms, and managing administrative items. This is a unique opportunity to have a profound impact on a fast-growing AI company at the forefront of defining the next era of education.

YOU WILL:

  • Amplify the CEO’s external influence: Work closely with the CEO to refine Brisk’s public messaging, develop thought leadership content, and prepare for keynote speeches, media appearances, and panel discussions.
  • Drive the CEO’s internal goals: Work closely with the CEO and Leadership Team to drive company goals to completion.
  • Drive strategic partnerships: Cultivate and manage relationships with consulting firms, advocacy groups, and policy organizations to strengthen Brisk’s position in the industry.
  • Develop first-draft work: Create first-draft materials (e.g., board decks, presentations, and external communications) to support strategic initiatives and enable internal teams to focus on execution.
  • Handle context-heavy analytical tasks: Leverage foundational technical skills to support internal teams with smaller, day-to-day tasks that require deep business context (e.g., assisting marketing leads in calculating ROI for specific events that involve nuanced data and contextual factors).
  • Serve as a thought partner: Help the CEO prioritize external initiatives, synthesize insights from key industry conversations, and ensure alignment with Brisk’s broader strategic objectives.
  • Execute with precision and agility: Roll up your sleeves to drive execution across a range of critical tasks, from coordinating high-stakes meetings to synthesizing competitive intelligence and market trends.
  • Keep the CEO organized: From inbox management to booking key travel arrangements, you’ll ensure the CEO is always moving forward.

YOU HAVE:

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional experience in education.
  • Professional experience in management consulting or investment banking, or high proficiency in Excel and analysis.
  • Prior experience building a program from 0 to 1.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines, and calendaring.
  • Obsessive attention to detail.
  • Outstanding analytical capabilities and strategic thinking skills.
  • Experience partnering with leadership teams.
  • Executive presence and superior communication abilities.
  • Low ego and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to tackle any task, big or small.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.

BONUS:

  • Work experience in a venture-backed startup.

WHAT WE OFFER:
