As a late-stage startup, this organization is scaling rapidly, expanding its market presence, and enhancing product offerings to serve global enterprises. An opportunity exists for a strategic, high-impact Chief of Staff to partner directly with the Founder & CEO to drive efficiency, alignment, and execution across the organization.

About Our Client

In the role of Chief of Staff, you will serve as a force multiplier for the CEO, ensuring seamless execution of strategic initiatives, optimizing cross-functional collaboration, and driving operational excellence. Acting as an extension of the CEO, you will help prioritize, execute, and communicate key business objectives both internally and externally. This position is suited for an individual who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments and possesses a deep understanding of enterprise software and scaling SaaS businesses.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Operational Leadership

  • Act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the CEO, providing leverage across strategic priorities.
  • Lead and execute special projects that drive company growth, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Partner with the executive team to ensure alignment on strategic initiatives, board-level priorities, and investor communications.
  • Prepare and refine presentations, analyses, and reports for board meetings, investor updates, and executive offsites.

Internal Operations

  • Run the weekly executive staff meeting, ensuring an effective agenda, tracking action items, and driving accountability.
  • Support CEO’s engagement in functional meetings, ensuring the right level of participation and visibility.
  • Manage the operational cadence of the CEO and executive team, including strategic planning cycles.
  • Maximize productivity through efficient scheduling and communications (meeting pre-reads, structured agendas, etc.).

Automation & Efficiency

  • Leverage the latest automation tools (e.g., Zapier, AI-driven workflows) to improve productivity.
  • Develop scalable systems for contacts management, investor tracking, and internal communications.
  • Support the automation of expenses and reporting, minimizing manual administrative work.

Administrative Support

  • Track meetings, take notes, and follow up on action items to ensure seamless execution.
  • Handle manual tasks when necessary, including checking and transcribing business cards if automation is not feasible.
  • Manage CEO expenses, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.

Execution & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Drive CEO-level priorities, ensuring initiatives are moving forward with accountability.
  • Coordinate with Finance, Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to streamline decision-making and execution.
  • Own weekly / monthly / quarterly business reviews and annual strategic planning processes, tracking KPIs and ensuring leadership alignment.
  • Act as a liaison between the CEO and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and priority setting.

Organizational Effectiveness & Communication

  • Improve internal communication cadence, ensuring clarity and transparency across teams.
  • Optimize CEO time and focus, managing information flow and preparing briefings for key meetings.
  • Support company culture by organizing leadership forums, all-hands meetings, and other executive-level events.

Investor & Board Relations

  • Support the CEO in managing relationships with investors, board members, customers, and strategic partners.
  • Prepare board decks, financial reports, and investor communication materials.
  • Lead due diligence processes for fundraising and M&A activities as needed.

Investor Relations

  • Respond to inbound investor inquiries and ensure a streamlined communication process.
  • Engage with investors to support strategic requests, providing relevant materials and data.
  • Organize and execute in-person investor events, such as investor days.
  • Support data collection and review of quarterly investor letters to ensure key metrics are effectively communicated.

Board Management

  • Operationally manage board meetings, ensuring smooth execution, logistics, and alignment.
  • Prepare and refine board decks, ensuring accuracy and strategic storytelling.
  • Coordinate with Legal on administrative needs such as signatures and approvals.
  • Run working groups and board committees, ensuring alignment and execution on strategic priorities.
  • Directly liaise with investors on board meeting arrangements and follow-ups.

Market Analysis & Analyst Relations

  • Support research and engagement with industry analysts to enhance the organization’s thought leadership positioning.
  • Prepare competitive intelligence reports and landscape analyses for the CEO and executive team.

What You Bring

Experience & Skills

  • 4+ years of experience in consulting, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, enterprise software, or operating roles in high-growth SaaS companies.
  • Strong understanding of computing, enterprise software, SaaS business models, and late-stage company scaling dynamics.
  • Proven track record of strategic execution, problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership.
  • Excellent executive communication, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, with a hands-on, get-things-done attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or equivalent experience in strategy, finance, or operations.
  • Experience as a Founder of a B2B SaaS company is a plus.
  • Experience supporting C-level executives in a high-growth, VC/PE-backed environment.
  • Familiarity with enterprise sales cycles, GTM strategy, and customer success operations.
