Overview

Instacart is looking for a Chief of Staff to support the Chief Financial Officer.

About the Job

• Lead complex, strategic cross-functional initiatives, proactively taking ownership of emerging opportunities and challenges
• Work across teams to manage business rhythm for CFO (team meetings, operating cadence, prioritizing and delegating work-streams, etc.)
• Act as a strategic counsel to XFN partners on behalf of the CFO
• Support daily operations and partner with Executive Admins, Internal and External Communications and Finance Leads to help manage executive calendar and create process improvements across Finance
• Ensure progress on priority work-streams and ensure follow-through of critical action items, help build decision-making frameworks, deliverables, etc.
• Work across teams to prepare briefings and coordinate research for meetings with partners and key leaders (e.g. identify goals and talking points, provide background on attendees, etc.)
• Write initial drafts of internal comms, or proof and advise on content/communication, newsletters and org communications, and presentations
• Able to travel

About You

• 10+ years of experience, ideally in consulting, investment banking, corporate tech, or investing, with significant exposure to executive audiences
• Experience working directly with people at all levels, including building trusted advisor relationships with C-suite level executives and acting as a liaison between teams and leadership
• Ability to analyze complex problems, break them down into manageable parts, and devise effective solutions
• Experience managing multiple tasks under timelines and shifting priorities
• Superior organizational skills and commitment to high-quality work product

Compensation

• Base pay range for a successful candidate is dependent on their permanent work location. The base pay ranges for US-based candidates are as follows:
  • CA, NY, CT, NJ: $216,000—$240,000 USD
  • WA: $207,000—$230,000 USD
  • OR, DE, ME, MA, MD, NH, RI, VT, DC, PA, VA, CO, TX, IL, HI: $199,000—$221,000 USD
  • All other states: $179,000—$199,000 USD
