Job Description

The Role

Checkout.com is seeking a driven and intellectually curious Associate Chief of Staff in London to be the right hand of our Head of Commercial Product Partnership. This role will report directly to the Head of Commercial Product Partnership and support and drive key initiatives of the company, including, but not limited to, strategic planning and execution, commercial expansion, and operational improvement.

This person will be deeply analytical, data-driven, and proactive, with exceptional communication skills. The ability to multitask across wide-ranging topics/work-streams and thrive in a fast-paced environment will be key to success in this role.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Act as a 'right-hand' to the Head of Commercial Product Partnership, driving effective decision-making, project management, and execution of strategic projects
  • Providing information, analyses and insights to support executive-level decision-making, agenda-setting and communications
  • Work with Revenue Leaders to understand regional priorities, product requirements for specific new and existing deals and align with the product organisation on roadmap priorities and intake process:
  • Manage commercial intake for roadmap quarterly
  • Analyse market trends, by understanding -based on data- what are the most common requests per market
  • Map out our current strengths and weaknesses, to establish a best-in-class approach per region
  • Align the product intake with company OKRs
  • Conceptual and creative problem-solving to take on complex and high-priority challenges and opportunities the business is facing
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across the business to identify critical issues and enhance operational efficiency and continuous improvement, with a focus on product and operational excellence.
  • Coordinating cross-functional initiatives to align key decision-makers and drive execution
  • Be a true partner to the Product team to help advise on our broader sales strategy.
  • Constantly look to challenge and improve ongoing processes to ensure optimal efficiency and productivity company-wide.
  • Serve as an internal liaison for the Commercial department and work cross-functionally with the leadership teams from other departments, including Product, Finance, Operations and Marketing.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Finance, Treasury, Operations, and Legal to gather and synthesize customer feedback, address process limitations, and refine roadmaps for timely product launches and enhanced support.
  • Act as a liaison between Commercial employees, the Head of Commercial Product Partnership and the CRO regarding the company’s climate, employees' well-being and project updates alongside regular updates on delays and escalations
  • Commercial Product Champions alignment forum - help manage the interaction between product pillars and their champion in SE/AM to foster a better adoption of the Champions program, help with feedback and improvement strategy for the program

Qualifications

  • Experience in the office of the CEO, strategy/management consulting, investing/investment banking or scale-up roles.
  • Experience in Financial Services and/or Technology
  • Strong communicator - Ability to articulate and present insights clearly (written and verbal) and build a strong rapport with stakeholders
  • Strategic and critical thinker - excellent analytical skills and naturally inquisitive; ability to challenge and dig deep into the weeds while also seeing the big picture
  • Proactive, committed and eager to take ownership to drive workstreams forward collaboratively within our team
  • Data-driven with strong attention to detail – prior experience with data / financial analysis is strongly preferred
