When I was promoted to COS last year, we spent a month at least wrestling with “alternate” titles, and I was insistent on COS, as 8 years in an “alternate title” role previous did my no good when I finally was ready to move on. I do like the idea of Head of Business Strategy and Planning though!<br><br>@dschultz that is a really great point on making sure that it translates for when I am ready to move on for my next role. This is causing me to lean towards &quot;Head of Staff&quot;. While I don&#x27;t love it, it is the closest to Chief of Staff and would allow me to explain that our organization dropped &quot;Chief&quot; from all job titles. What do you think about that? My previous title was “Director of Outreach and Operations”. I was in actuality Deputy Executive Director and COS but that wasnt the titling structure the employer used. When I left that role, Director of Operations roles were verrrrryyyyy different than COS. Just something to think about, because it burned me in a way I wasnt expecting.
