The Director, Event Strategy & Business Operations is responsible for developing processes, plans, solutions and tools to drive operational efficiency, increase productivity, and delivery exceptional results. Help drive organizational planning processes, lead strategic and departmental presentations and results tracking, and support team members in scoping new projects. This leader's priority is to manage a team that eliminates roadblocks and ensures smooth and efficient processes for event managers.

Manages, through lower-level managers, a team of events specialists in support of objectives and strategies for the overall effectiveness and execution of marketing events globally. Contributes to strategic and tactical planning for the division. Responsible for coaching, performance management, and career development of staff. Participates in the recruiting process and makes hiring decisions. Manages budget. Participates in development of objectives and strategies for the overall effectiveness and execution of marketing events. Manages and executes projects and marketing plans intended to maximize company exposure. Works with internal/external resources to obtain needed materials and services. Manages relationships with outside vendors. Participates in implementation of organizational changes in line with changing business and market.

Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Software business management experience, and Marketing experience in the high-tech industry preferred. Proven leadership skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. 5 - 7 years previous people management experience. Professional credentials in Marketing. Academic credentials desirable. Past experience in event planning and execution desirable.
