Overview

Northzone is a global multi-stage venture capital firm. We’re currently investing out of a $1.2bn fund to partner with founders across sectors, including AI, SaaS, healthcare, fintech, consumer,( and_ _everything in between). We’re proud to be an early partner to daring entrepreneurs who want to shape the world and part of that support is through talent introductions. 

We are currently supporting one of our Series A portfolio companies to hire a Chief of Staff. The company is building an AI sales enablement tool targeting SMBs, with the role based in London. 

Role Overview

Reporting directly to the founder, the Chief of Staff will serve as a trusted partner to navigate the company’s rapid growth. The highly strategic and execution-focused Chief of Staff will act as an extension of the leadership team, ensuring priorities post Series A fundraise are met. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Execution: Partner with the CEO to drive company-wide strategic initiatives and track their execution.
  • Operational Efficiency: Optimize internal processes, decision-making frameworks, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • CEO Enablement: Act as a sounding board and right-hand person to the CEO, supporting with research, presentations, and strategic decision-making.
  • Project Management: Oversee and drive key projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and timely execution.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work across teams to ensure operational alignment and unblock challenges.
  • Board & Investor Relations: Prepare materials for board meetings, investor updates, and fundraising activities.
  • Company Culture & Leadership Support: Help shape company culture, values, and internal communications to maintain a high-performance environment.
  • Data & Insights: Provide analytical support to inform key business decisions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 4-10 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, venture capital, or a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to anticipate company needs.
  • Experience working directly with C-suite executives or founders.
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, high-growth startup setting.
