Chief of Staff
About Us
Nourish is on a mission to improve people’s health by making it easy to eat well. More than half of Americans have a chronic condition related to what they eat, and poor nutrition is the number one driver of preventable death.
Nourish is addressing this healthcare crisis by helping people eat better. We connect chronic disease patients with a Registered Dietitian via telehealth and get it covered by their health insurance.
We launched two years ago and already have hundreds of dietitians and tens of thousands of patients on the platform. Our patients span a wide range of nutrition-related conditions including diabetes, eating disorders, kidney disease, GI conditions, cancer, obesity / weight management, cardiovascular disease, and more. We are live in all 50 states.
We are growing quickly, have partnered with national health insurance companies and provider groups, and have raised over $44M from top-tier VCs including Index Ventures, Thrive Capital, Maverick Ventures, Y Combinator, and Box Group, amongst others. Our angel investors include world-class healthcare founders from Oscar, Rightway Health, Headway, Spring Health, and Alto Pharmacy, as well as soccer star Alex Morgan and the founders from Olipop and Notion.

About The Role
As Chief of Staff, you will report directly to/serve as the right hand of the Co-founder & CEO and collaborate on high-level strategy work with leadership. You will work cross-functionally to support key initiatives across the whole company. You will also own the execution of the company’s operating model — All Hands, Board Meetings, OKRs, etc. Finally, you will help build our fast-growing team and ensure we have a world-class culture.
This is an in-person role out of our New York City office, with flexibility for some remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Own execution of the company’s operating model including All Hands, Board Meetings, OKRs, and metrics tracking.
- Work with executive leadership on strategic company projects/analyses.
- Tackle high-priority cross-functional projects as they arise. You’ll be a generalist utility player touching many different functions.
- Identify areas of improvements across the organization and using data, experience, and best practices to provide creative solutions.
- Help build and run a high-performance, fast-growing team and maintain world-class culture.
You’ll Love This Role & We'd Love to Hear from You If:
- You have 4-8 years of experience working some combination of management consulting, finance, investing, and startup operations (healthcare experience is a nice-to-have).
- You are based in NYC or willing to relocate, and can be in the office at least 3 days a week.
- You have considered founding a company one day so you want to work closely with founders.
- You’re passionate about Nourish’s mission. You’re mission-oriented, interested in healthcare/nutrition, and are eager to be part of solving America’s healthcare crisis.
- You want to work hard. We are trying to be great, so we work harder and smarter.
- You have a strong executive presence and communication skills (oral and written). You are able to interact with and influence stakeholders at all levels with confidence and clarity. You are an excellent communicator, capable of distilling information into clear, actionable insights for different audiences.
- You are analytical and data-oriented. You are an Excel and powerpoint wizard. You are good at running analyses and diving into data, uncovering insights that drive strategy, making informed decisions, and presenting those finds concisely and effectively. SQL proficiency is a plus.
- You thrive when given ownership and want to get into the nitty-gritty. You’re a self-starter and take ownership of all responsibilities, big and small. You enjoy owning projects from start to finish, including everything from high-level strategic planning to nitty-gritty, unsexy execution work.
- You thrive in ambiguity and seek opportunities to dive into challenges, drive towards outcomes, and shape strategy in a rapidly evolving environment. You are comfortable managing multiple competing priorities and stakeholders, effectively balancing day-to-day operations with long-term strategic initiatives. You are good at collaborating cross functionally and have good strategic business sense.
- You are detailed-oriented and learn quickly. You get satisfaction out of ensuring nothing slips through the cracks, and you are an exceptional communicator live and in writing. You love ensuring accuracy in every analysis, report, and presentation you produce. You have an extreme attention to detail. You take pride in being reliable and hitting deadlines, and you hold yourself to a standard of excellence.
- You think work should feel like play. We are a close-knit team and care about having a lot of fun at work — we want you to feel the same. You are passionate about building a world-class team and culture.
Please note that you must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. for this position.
