Chief of Staff

FutureSight is looking to add a Chief of Staff to our team who will work directly with our Vice President of Operations and Managing Director as their trusted partner in execution.

About FutureSight

People in this role don't need extensive experience in venture capital, but you should be passionate about the field and keen to grasp the business swiftly. Most importantly, you're a quick learner with a strong focus on execution and a drive to achieve results. You're highly organized, detail-oriented, and above all, dependable.

FutureSight is a Venture Studio co-located in Toronto and San Francisco backing world-class founders in launching B2B SaaS and Vertical AI companies. We are investing out of our 2nd fund and are looking for someone to help supercharge our investment team by supporting our Leadership Team in managing the investor relations, finance and operations for FutureSight and our portfolio companies.

Who We're Looking For

• A budding entrepreneur eager to learn about venture capital and fundraising.

• A generalist with a strong interest in technology and innovation

• A project manager who excels at managing several stakeholders and ensuring we're running on all cylinders.

Position Requirements

• Support leadership team with Limited Partner Fundraising activities including marketing, sales outreach, due diligence, pitch preparation, and regular LP communications

• Proactively sourcing, managing and tracking current and future relationships within the FutureSight investor community and partner networks

• Assist with special projects for our fund and portfolio companies, including establishing metrics, building financial models, reviewing partnership agreements, building founder development programs, identifying board members, experts and more

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of business and sales operations, community building, platform or similar experience

• Venture capital, startup or investment banking experience is preferred

• Deep hunger for venture capital and startup success

• Strong understanding of business

• Knowledge of the technology/startup space

• High willingness to learn

• Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and presentation (both virtual and in person)

• Detail-oriented with strong project management, organizational skills, and process management.

• Comfort with joining and leading calls with external stakeholders

• Outstanding judgment around confidential and/or sensitive information

• Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint and Google Slides

• Excellent organizational and administrative skills

• Excel at behind-the-scenes work

• Great teammate with no ego who is self-motivating and takes initiative
