The Founder / CEO needs a true “right hand”, a take-charge, fast-moving Chief of Staff, used to moving in a “high-profile” world. In this role, you will gain deep insight into the business and be given levels of responsibility well beyond your expectations. You will be immersed in all aspects of business formation, operations, and investment, across multiple disciplines as well as having the opportunity to take a lead role in driving substantial projects within the business.

You will learn up close how an entrepreneur operates and how important decisions are made. You will be personally and professionally challenged through direct participation in decision-making processes and proximity to decision-makers. You will take advantage of the freedom offered to you in a creative and entrepreneurial manner.

This is a unique opportunity for an articulate and flexible individual to partner with a highly successful and creative entrepreneur, putting theory into practice. It is important to note that this is NOT a typical Executive Assistant role. This role sits in the hub of the business and would suit a very bright MBA, Law or Architecture graduate, with 3 - 5 years’ experience in a commercial environment.

Your Role:

Significant responsibility is entrusted to this individual. In this role, you will become a trusted resource, gatekeeper, and right arm. This position wears many hats, takes charge of a wide range of duties, and handles matters of sensitivity and urgency. Discretion, excellent judgment, and outstanding interpersonal skills are key.

This unique role is meant for a person who will multiply the CEO’s influence and make his time more efficient. As Chief of Staff, you will function at an executive level. This is not your average Executive Assistant position. It’s much more, with an opportunity for a seat at the table.

Your Responsibilities:

Your role is to help the President setup, structure and manage the business, executing on all levels, filling in the blanks by doing whatever it takes and being immersed in your role 24/7.

Key Skills and Competencies:

· Must be positive, hardworking, and tenacious, with a “CAN DO” attitude, enjoying a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and having the ability to work the hours necessary to support the CEOs demanding schedule and complete projects and/or meet deadlines.

· Must have excellent judgment, be forward thinking, and have the ability to anticipate the CEO’s needs at all times, be highly resourceful and have the ability to be effective independently with little direction.

· Must demonstrate initiative and have an outstanding ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment, being flexible and able to adapt to changes in schedule and juggle competing priorities.

· Must have excellent analytical skills with an ability to think strategically and out of the box, paying attention to detail and having exquisite follow-through, taking ownership and accountability

· Must be forward thinking, with a demonstrated proactive approach to problem-solving and have strong decision-making skills.

· Must be able to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced highly dynamic environment with an ability to maintain composure under pressure.

· Must be sharp, savvy, and resourceful with an ability to influence key stakeholders, having respect for the influence and responsibility of project’ team leaders and an ability to engage them on the President’s priorities without offense

· Must have a proven ability to maintain absolute confidentiality in all aspects of staff and company information, being able to manage sensitive data and information with tact and discretion.

· Must have a high level of ethics, integrity and reliability, having a strong grasp of both “big picture” and “detail” issues.

· Must be willing to subordinate self to mission and to work long hours, being capable of travel if and as needed.

· Must have the ability to Dress up and Dress down appropriately, ensuring consistency with the CEO on such matters

· Must have excellent speaking, writing and overall communication skills with superior organizational ability.

· Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and project management software.

Your Qualifications:

An MBA or master’s degree in, Real Estate, Architecture or Law is preferred.

Your Future:

This position is expected to be time-limited to 3-years and is expected to be intense and accelerative, preparing this person with the base to launch into a mission critical role within the business.

This is a role for someone who wants to grow rapidly within the company taking on more, more, more, moving forward while replacing themselves (Which you will do in the third year), as the company expands.

Schedule

24-7 text/email availability is required, and you must be able to respond to emails within 2 hours on evenings and weekends, although regular hours are usually only 8am to 6pm, Monday thru Friday plus approximately two weekend days a month. Must be ready without question. You will be on call at all hours.
