The Job Description

Candidates who are not only super capable but also thrive in a high-pressure, dynamic environment that is not for the faint of heart......this is an unapologetically hard role....

NOT A 9-5 'job'. Keep weird hours, be plugged in constantly - across timezones on the globe, unrelenting focus on closing things off, escalating and pushing rocks up hills.

We would love non-local candidates - but this role is absolutely NOT remote (even partially) compatible - sorry.

Chief of Staff (In-Person Only)

Data443 HQ - In the Heart of Research Triangle Park

Part of the new Hub Tech Development

The Chief of Staff is a critical role designed to amplify the efficiency and effectiveness of our leadership, specifically supporting the CEO and President. This position demands a highly motivated, resilient individual with a profound technical aptitude and a track record of managing complex deliverables across high churn and volume segments. The role is central to our continued organizational acceleration, requiring a focus on delivery management, escalation, coordination, and the seamless integration of mergers and acquisitions - people, tech, business foundations. The ideal candidate is not scared to be in the fast-paced, ever-changing landscape of a "startup" while adhering to the rigors and discipline expected in a major exchange traded public company setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Support: Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and President, providing strategic support, critical analysis, and insight on a wide range of issues.
  • Delivery Management: Ensure the timely delivery of projects and initiatives, managing expectations and coordinating across teams with high velocity and dynamics.
  • Escalation and Coordination: Serve as the point of contact for escalation, ensuring issues are addressed promptly and efficiently, facilitating decision-making processes.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A): Play a pivotal role in M&A activities, from due diligence to integration and closing deals, contributing to the company's growth strategy.
  • Problem Resolution: Address personal, technical, and business challenges, applying expertise to remediate, escalate, or terminate as required.
  • Leadership: Drive major business strategies forward in alignment with the company’s high growth and velocity, maintaining focus on public company expectations and deliverables.
  • Team Dynamics: Manage high churn segments and technical challenges, supporting an environment of aggressive growth efficiencies and smart business choices.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a high-growth startup or a dynamic corporate environment.
  • Demonstrable expertise in delivery management, M&A integration, and strategy execution.
  • High technical aptitude with experience in managing diverse deliverables across various segments.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and influence without authority.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on strategic planning and execution.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of navigating complex organizational dynamics.
  • Flexibility and resilience, with a personality that thrives on variations, pivots, and the challenges inherent in startup environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in Product Management is acceptable, if there is matching business operations specific (finance, marketing, sales, etc.) experience
  • Previous experience as a senior level contributor in big or small organizations preferred.
  • You can drive a whiteboard, spreadsheet, press release draft, and/or Jira epics.
